Conceived through a considered and holistic lens, YA Villa is an architectural blend of traditional and contemporary elements. The owner, a detail-oriented jewelry designer, brings a unique aesthetic that values carvings, traditional motifs, and symmetrical designs with crystalline and repetitive accents. The architectural concept of YA Villa aims to capture the essence of a single-mass building while incorporating a multi-mass building feeling through distinct zoning sections, each utilizing different materials and thresholds.
Natural materials such as stone, sourced from local vendors and crafted by local artisans, are central to the design, embedding the villa with a sense of place and tradition. The color palette, featuring natural hues like green, seamlessly integrates traditional elements with modern and classy brass accents, proposed to the owner for approval.
YA villa is uniquely positioned in a serene, untouched landscape surrounded by a quiet expanse that includes a nearby pristine beach and a cave used for local prayers. Despite its proximity to these tranquil natural features, the villa is located on the elevated plains of Ubud, away from commercial activities, enhancing its secluded charm. The landscaping is meticulously curated to balance and cultivate a connection between the built environment and its natural surroundings.
This project resonates deeply with the visions of both the architect and the jewelry designer owner, fostering a collaborative environment where ideas are translated fluently into the design of YA Villa, sculpting an enduring and culturally rich home.
